COVID-19 is constantly evolving and changing everyone’s lives. Entrepreneurs are particularly impacted because with each day more companies are shutting their doors to reduce the spread of the virus. Their revenues halted in a day, for an unknown period.

Right now, it’s crucial to remember that with crisis comes opportunity. Now, is the time for resilience and agility. Don’t just think about what your business needs to do today to survive, think about what you can do tomorrow to thrive. Our team is here to help you think about your business, your tech, your supply chain, and your possibilities. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re in need.

While we may be practicing social distancing, never forget the power of the community around you. Many people are ready, willing and able to listen, learn, teach, and support others in this community. It’s our job to offer support to one another. Every day, I am impressed with the number of the people and organizations offering support, webinars, skill labs, and more to support those around them. The Talent Help List is a great example of this. This centralized database was designed by Prospect and other tech industry leaders to help with COVID-19 related hiring and job losses. If you’re a venture backed company and you need support, reach out to your investors to find out how they can help. Otherwise, you can check with your financial institution, BDC, Futurpreneur, Community Futures Canada or the Government of Canada’s Resource Page where you can apply for additional relief measures.

Remember, the most important thing right now is the health and well-being of you and your teams. Together we will get through this and we will come out of it stronger.
